ABOUT MARK
Most speakers tell an audience what to do. Engaging speakers show an audience how they do it.
Recently Mark was CURIOUS about whether or not it was possible to ride a skateboard 600 miles from Washington DC to Ottawa, Canada - capital to capital. Despite the fact that he had not been on a skateboard in almost to 40 years, he had the AUDACITY to think that he could actually pull this off.
And he did! But it wasn't easy. One busted wrist and a fractured rib sure tested his TENACITY. And that was just during the training!
The story of how he pulled it off and what he learned along the way will have your audience on the edge of their seats. But he won't stop there. They may hear about some of his other adventures, like running 276 mile across Pennsylvania or running the 100 mile length of the Florida Keys. There was the time he rode a bicycle 5000 miles around Europe or the 200 mile trek around the Nepal Himalayas. There are even one-day challenges like finding out how far he can run in 24 hours (87 miles, as it turns out) or trying to raise $1000 for a local Philadelphia area food bank by running a full 26.2 mile marathon up and down the famous Art Museum "Rocky" steps.
Mark uses all these stories and more to give his audience real world tools they can take away and start using before they even leave the room.

Mark has been in the business of engaging audiences for more than 20 years
Mark has spoken in 38 states to everything from small workshop audiences to crowds as large as 5000 (three zeros!) Before he ever took on a corporate audience Mark cut his teeth inspiring teenage athletes. He quickly discovered that people always learn more by doing than they ever will by just listening. One moment he'll have the whole crowd on their feet with some weird challenge. Minutes later he will be testing the courage of a few brave volunteers willing to join him on stage. Mark has acquired a fascinating repertoire of odd and mind-boggling feats. He has been known to give phone book tearing lessons, stage hilarious flexibility contests and he loves to stump his whole audience with frustrating bar bets.
And when he's not on stage or away doing some insane challenge, Mark...
is in the gym teaching kids at his own gymnastics center in Pennsylvania. Formally a member of the British National team Mark has been coaching kids since 1982. He has been the assistant coach to the US Junior Olympic Team and is the author of "Going For It" a motivational book for teenage athletes.
