KEYNOTE SPEAKING

Picture
The workshop that Mark originally created to inspire thousands of young athletes across North America has now grown into a high energy, interactive and entertaining keynote address for corporate organizations.
"What you can do may have got you where you are now but it's what you can't do yet that'll get you where you need to be next"

The list of 99 things I can't do... YET!

Drawing from his experiences of trying to check items off his list of "99 things he can't do... yet" Mark inspires everyone from teen athletes to corporate CEOs. His goal is to provide a "ah ha" mind-shift moment that inspires innovative thinking and and bold action.

CAT
Lead with Curiosity... Think with Audacity... Act with Tenacity

He will show your key players how the hard-core champions of "making stuff happen" all share three key qualities.
  1. CURIOSITY: They live fully alive and engaged by being irrationally obsessed with searching out opportunities to challenge old limits and rewrite the rule book for what's possible.
  2. AUDACITY: They have a self-belief and optimistic assumption bordering on arrogance that has a positive effect on everyone they come in contact with
  3. TENACITY: They become fascinated into taking action by the same setbacks, failures and fears that frustrate their less driven (but frequently more talented) peers into quitting

About Mark's speaking style

His style is a mixture of entertainment, audience involvement and inspiration. Mark uses stories and hard learned lessons from his own experiences to help your key player develop their own CAT culture.

Entertaining (so they'll be engaged)
Mark is a master story teller. He believes in putting his own advise into action and shares with his audience all the ups and downs of going after his own outrageous goals. There was the impromptu gymnastics class he taught to a crowd of Nepalese kids in the Himalayas. Or the struggle of pushing a heavy loaded touring bicycle 5000 miles around Europe. Or the disastrous outcome of diving off a ten meter platform to impress a girl at age fourteen. (We've all been there.)

Audience Involvement (so they'll remember)
Before he ever took on a corporate audience Mark cut his teeth inspiring  teenage athletes. He quickly discovered that people learn more by doing than they ever will by just listening. One moment he'll have the whole crowd on their feet with some weird challenge. Minutes later he will be testing the courage of a few brave volunteers willing to join him on stage. Mark has acquired a fascinating repertoire of odd and mind-boggling feats. [check out his video page to challenge yourself today]. He has been known to give phone book tearing lessons, stage hilarious flexibility contests and stump his audience with frustrating bar bets.

Inspiration (so they'll take action)
All the entertaining and audience involvement is for nothing if they don't leave with mind full of take away ideas that they can start putting into action before they even leave the room. Rather than temporarily motivate a reluctant crowd into briefly flirting with a "better attitude" Mark aims to create a true mind-shift moment in an organization that has a lasting effect.

CREATING A CAT CULTURE will give your people the tools to build on what they can do, set aside the distractions of what they can't do and focus on the process of taking on what they can't do... YET!

"Those who were in attendance this morning and heard your presentation, raved about it.  Now everyone who did not attend is a bit jealous and anxious to hear you speak tonight."
"Wow! What a buzz Mark created at our recent membership meeting. His lively presentation combined all the elements we look for in a great program. It was fun, inspiring and informative."
